Our team of master butchers have years of experience of butchering and preparing the finest cuts of meat and poultry to guarantee unrivalled succulence and taste. We sell all the meat produced here at Woodview Farm so we know the provenance and traceability of the meat and we can be certain that it has been kept to the highest welfare standards.

Our philosophy is to make use of the entire animal, so we encourage you to ask for advice on cooking what might be considered unfashionable cuts as they can often be tender and bursting with flavour. Our entire butchery team – led by Jason – knows how to prepare meat and can advise on cooking times and complementary herbs and spices.

Availability is of course seasonal, but our home-reared lamb, pork and poultry is available year round and our beef is sourced from local suppliers and aged for at least 21 days before we sell it. Our legendary ‘meat boxes’, which contain a selection of meats and a range of cuts, represent exceptional value for money. If you’re hosting a buffet, our homemade Scotch eggs and sausage rolls can be supplemented with pâtés and cold cuts to wow your guests, and our full range of secret recipe sausages are all made on site by Jason and his colleagues.

For Christmas we stock both free-range Norfolk Bronzes and Whites, and also offer turkey crowns and three-bird roasts, as well as joints of beef, hams and joints of lamb for Boxing Day.

Aside from our meat, we also stock local and international cheeses, and the selection has grown according to feedback from you, our customers. If you have a favourite cheese you’d like us to stock, please tell us next time you visit and we’ll do our best to source it!

So whether you’re an experienced chef who knows your rump from your hock or a novice who needs some basic advice on preparing the perfect roast, our butchers are more than happy to be of service.
